Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Joachim Jankowski
Joachim Jankowski is an expert for isolation and identification of biomarkers and mediators involved in genesis and progression of essential hypertension and chronic renal failure. He has been the director of the “Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research” (IMCAR) since 01 May 2014 at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen. .
CARIM Maastricht and Aachen IMCAR layd the foundation for close cooperation
in a kick-off meeting on Sept. 10, 2015 in Maastricht.
"IMCARIM" was founded as the common logo.
As part of this closer cooperation CARIM was taken as host in the distribution of the "Cardiovascular Seminar".
On August 25th 2016
Walter Kolch, Director of UCD Conway Institute, Dublin, will talk at 5:00pm in the "Hörsaal 1" ground floor, Universityhospital Aachen.
His topic will be:
"How statistical and computational modelling can help biomarker discovery".
The Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research (or as a brief acronym IMCAR) has been established at the Medical Faculty of the RWTH Aachen University in April of 2006 and is dedicated to pursuing scientific excellence in the field of vascular biology and atherosclerosis research.
